Careers · Cyberange

Built by practitioners. Hiring more.

Cyberange is engineered, run, and taught by the people doing the work — operators on live engagements, engineers shipping products, faculty teaching the cohorts that will hire the next round. We hire across consulting, phygital labs, platform engineering, training faculty, solutions architecture, and operations.

Why this place

Six honest reasons.

The work is real

Live engagements, regulator-grade reports, deployments at NCIIPC, MCTE, MAHE, the UAE Cyber Security Council. The CV value is concrete, not generic.

Practitioners teach practitioners

Our trainers run engagements; our consultants teach cohorts. The two halves inform each other. You are not picked between research and shipping.

Made in India, benchmarked globally

We build in country and ship internationally. The work shows up in Guinness World Records on one side and quarterly RBI compliance reports on the other.

Veterans welcome

A material part of the senior team comes from the Indian Army, Air Force, and law enforcement. Second-career transitions are supported, not tolerated.

Cohorts, not silos

Engineering pairs with consulting. Consulting pairs with faculty. The TAW workbench gets feedback from the SOC analysts who will use it before it ships.

Ethics as an operating layer

Every practitioner walks through the Clean Exit programme. The discipline scales the trust, not just the technical surface. That is not a policy line — it is the contract.

Where we hire

Six function families. Constant openings inside each.

We hire continuously across these six families. Specific role listings rotate; the disciplines below are where Cyberange is always looking. If the discipline fits and the listing doesn't — tell us anyway. The speculative-application channel is real.

Consulting

Operators, not deck-makers.

Red-team operators, DFIR investigators, threat hunters. The team that runs the engagements writes the methodologies. Pay scales with shipping, not seniority.

  • · Red Team Operator (mid + senior)
  • · DFIR Investigator (host + memory + cloud)
  • · Threat Hunter (hypothesis-driven, detection-engineering adjacent)
  • · IR Lead / Incident Commander

Phygital Labs

Hardware-first engineers.

ICS firmware engineers, PCB designers, embedded-systems people who want to build a cyber range that the Indian Army, NCIIPC, and the UAE Cyber Security Council have all tested. Manufacturing happens in-house.

  • · ICS / OT Firmware Engineer
  • · Embedded Systems Engineer (PLCs, sensors, controllers)
  • · Industrial Automation Specialist
  • · Lab Manufacturing & QA

Platform engineering

TAW, Virtual Labs, AttackWiz — the product engineering team.

Full-stack and infra engineers building the threat-analyst workbench, the learner cloud, and the BAS orchestrator. Modern stack; small, senior team; ship cadence weekly.

  • · Senior Backend Engineer (Go / Rust / Python)
  • · Frontend Engineer (React / TypeScript)
  • · Platform / SRE (Kubernetes, multi-tenant, sovereign-cloud deploys)
  • · Detection / Analytics Engineer

Training faculty

Practitioners who teach.

Working consultants who also teach a cohort. The two halves of the job inform each other. Faculty time is recognised, scheduled, and compensated separately from billable engagement hours.

  • · SOC Faculty (Tier 1–3 instruction)
  • · DFIR Faculty (host / memory / cloud / OT specialisms)
  • · Pentest Faculty (web · mobile · network · AD · cloud)
  • · CTI Faculty (analytic tradecraft)

Solutions architecture

Customer-facing engineers.

The people who scope a Centre of Excellence, design a deployment, and stay on the call when something goes sideways. Hybrid technical-and-commercial; not pre-sales theatre.

  • · Solutions Architect (Enterprise / Regulator)
  • · Solutions Architect (Academia / CoE)
  • · Pre-sales Engineer (Phygital + Virtual)
  • · Customer Engineering Lead

Operations & partnerships

The non-engineering people who make it all run.

Programme managers, partnership leads, comms, finance, legal-tech. Cyberange ships hardware, software, training, and consulting in parallel — the operations team is what keeps those four lines coherent.

  • · Programme Manager (Customer deployments)
  • · Partnership Lead (Academia / Government / International)
  • · Communications & Editorial (Insights, practice, public affairs)
  • · Talent & People

The hiring process

Five stages. Two weeks typical. No surprise round seven.

  1. Stage 01

    Application

Send a CV and either (a) a portfolio link or (b) a short note on what you would build first. We read every application; we reply to every application.

  2. Stage 02

    Discipline-fit conversation

A 45-minute call with someone from the team you would join. We discuss your work, your past engagements / projects, and the question you would most want to be asked.

  3. Stage 03

    Technical exercise

A scoped, time-boxed exercise that reflects the actual work — never a synthetic puzzle. Take-home for engineering; live-lab for consulting; mock cohort delivery for faculty.

  4. Stage 04

    Team round

Three to four members of the broader team. Two technical, one team-fit, one with the function lead. Not stress-testing; we are choosing colleagues.

  5. Stage 05

    Offer

Compensation discussed openly. Bands published internally. References taken with consent. Start dates flexed around current commitments and notice periods.

We commit to a response within five business days at every stage, including a final decision. If we're slower than that, our process broke; let us know.

For veterans & second-career professionals

"If I can do this post my retirement from the Army, I feel everyone can."
Col. N. Selva Kumar (Retd) · Indian Army Cyberange alumnus and now a working bug-bounty researcher. From the public-record alumni testimonials.

What we offer second-career joiners

  • · Recognition of operational experience (military, police, intelligence) on equal footing with industry tenure
  • · Structured re-skill paths into consulting, training faculty, or research
  • · Cohort placement programmes via our existing veteran-heavy senior team

Who already works here

  • · Lt Generals, Major Generals, and Air Vice Marshals (retd) in advisory and leadership
  • · IAF, IPS, and Indian Army veterans across consulting and faculty
  • · Senior practitioners from BFSI, regulator, and academic SOC backgrounds

Things we will not flex on

The operating contract.

Lab-first, theory-last

Hiring, training, debriefing. If it cannot be drilled, it does not ship.

Real work, real evidence

Portfolios beat certifications in the room. We have certifications; we also know what they do and do not measure.

Cohorts beat silos

We staff cross-discipline pairs. No team is allowed to grow in isolation from the team that uses its work.

Ethics is in the contract

Clean Exit. Financial guarantee on certified practitioners. The discipline scales the trust.

No surprise round seven

Five interview stages, published. If we cannot decide in two weeks, our process is broken — not yours.

Made in India, sold globally

The work happens here. The market for the work is everywhere. Both halves get equal investment.
